Sr. Analytical Chemist
Description Responsibilities: *Assist in the resolution of customer
complaints and manufacturing problems using internal and external
analytical techniques. *Acts as a team member on product development
teams, providing technical guidance and analytical chemistry sup****t.
*Develop innovative analytical methods for analyzing new materials
including monomers, polymers, and additives in complex matrixes.
*Supervise/mentor and train other chemists and lead analytical
projects. *Write and review detailed re****ts, methods, method
validations, and SOP's. *Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis
of organic and inorganic compound to determine chemical and physical
properties using instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
*Coordinate sample analysis done by other analytical chemistry labs,
internal and external, expanding the capabilities of the lab.
Requirements Qualifications: *Requires BS or MS in Chemistry with 10
years laboratory experience. *Expertise in FTIR, FTIR Microscope, TGA,
and DSC techniques for materials identification and analysis.
*Experience working with and identifying trace contaminants in
materials. *Has extensive experience in developing, troubleshooting,
validating, writing, transferring, and sup****ting analytical chemical
methods. *Has diverse analytical research experience and is familiar
with product development process and how analytical chemistry is used
to assist the process. *Experience with other analytical instruments
including GC, GC-MS, HPLC, UV/Vis, surface analysis, viscosity, and
ICP. *Familiarity with the medical device industry a plus. *Ability to
work as a team player, individual contributor and work on multiple
projects simultaneously in a fast paced work environment. *Excellent
written and oral communication. *Ability to work independently with
minimal supervision. *Experienced with GLP/GMP practices. *Proficiency
with Microsoft Office
