Scientist - Biopharmaceuticals
This position will be responsible for the stability testing of
biopharmaceutical/large molecules using appropriate methods, such as
ELISA, SDS-PAGE, IEF, etc. The person in this role is also expected to
follow validated or experimental analytical procedures with occasional
direct supervision from a group leader. Additional responsibilities
include compilation of results, data evaluation and possible data
review.
Education and Experience:
BS/BA in Biology, Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 1-year
experience in a regulated laboratory with emphasis on chromatographic
or electrophoretic methods. Familiarity with cGMP and MS Office is
highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Analytical testing such as UV/vis, Binding ELISA, moisture, IEF,
cIEF, bioassays, particulates, etc. will be performed for batch
release, stability studies and investigations * Do***ent data as
dictated by current client policies and procedures. * Re****t and
assist in data review in a timely manner. * Communicate effectively
and follow detailed written and verbal instruction. * Cooperate with
coworkers within an organized team environment or work alone with
supervision. * Manage time effectively to complete assignments in
expected time frame. * Complete all do***entation with clear and
accurate language and according to the SOPs. * Ability to plan,
schedule and carry out work for successful project completion. *
Proficient in the operation of the computer and data acquisition
programs. * Positive attitude and ability to work well with others. *
Ability to write SOPs and re****ts with minimum supervision. * Must pay
constant attention to detail.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
* Able to multi-task daily. * Long, varied hours required
occasionally. * Interaction with clients/associates required on daily
basis.
