Research Associate in biotech
Responsibilities:
=B7 Assisting the senior biotechnology analyst in researching companies
and launching new coverage and in providing research on existing
companies.
=B7 Building excel models on new initiations and then maintaining and
updating models of companies under coverage.
=B7 Exploring relevant literature and drafting First Call notes and
parts of longer research re****ts.
=B7 Assisting in maintaining industry database (stock summary, coverage
list, industry data, etc.).
=B7 Developing a relation****p with the NY sales force.
=B7 Achieving the Series 7 and 63 registrations by the end of the first
year in order to speak to clients at the analyst's discretion.
Requirements:
=B7 Background in the life sciences or other healthcare-related area
=B7 Team-oriented, resourceful self-starter
=B7 Excellent writing and oral communication skills
=B7 Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
=B7 Internet savvy researcher
=B7 Proficiency in MS Word, Powerpoint, and spreadsheet software -
Excel
=B7 Some familiarity with the mechanics of trading securities on an
exchange
=B7 Some familiarity with market data services: Bloomberg, Reuters,
First Call etc.
