Senior Database Administrator
This Database Administrator/Developer will develop, control access,
monitor performance, and refine database solutions for the Advisor
Workstation Enterprise Edition team. This includes developing and
implementing data production procedures; designing databases; writing
storage procedures; conducting performance tuning; planning and
coordinating database security measures; implementing database backup
and restoration plans as well as disaster recovery plans; and
communicating regularly with other DBAs, developers, quality assurance
managers, and project managers.
Candidates should have three or more years of database design
implementation experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000. This
position requires excellent communication skills, a dedicated and
detail-oriented work style, and the ability to work in both
independent and team-oriented environments. Experience with
programming or software development, excellent knowledge of MS Windows
platform, IIS, C++/C#, ASP/ASP.NET, FoxPro, and XML/XSL will be
considered a plus. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor`s
degree in computer science with excellent academic credentials. An
advanced degree is highly valued.
