Senior Scientist in biotech
General Responsibilities: Responsible for the development and
implementation of novel approaches to select and characterize
therapeutically relevant lead molecules against various protein
targets from diversity-based small molecule encoded libraries.
Specific Responsibilities: o Independent scientist responsible for
assay development and protein characterization activities leading to
small molecule lead discovery using a novel platform technology o
Characterization of small molecule hits in terms of potency and
specificity o Project leader****p responsibilities involving
coordination of biology, informatics, and chemistry based efforts on
internal and/or cor****ate partner targets within various disease areas
o Contributes to multi-disciplinary project teams o Applies problem
solving skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Qualifications: o Ph.D. with a solid understanding of biochemistry/
molecular biology o Experience with small molecule analysis in HTS
format or secondary assays o Experience with display based selection
technologies (phage, mRNA, ribosome, aptamers) is desirable o
Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic goal-oriented drug discovery
environment is desirable o Experience working with small, cross-
functional teams o Strong leader****p, organizational, and
communication skills
