Manatee Park levee research continues and the weekend projected for
12/18 in ICJ-12/13 was outstanding. The canal (see ICJ 4) filled with
manatee, 12 or more near the northern outflow end, 5-6 opposite the
hydrophone pool in mid channel, and 6 dozing on the surface directly
before the hydrophone viewing area.
The Meat Market! See the cuts. Bizarre. Floating on the surface for
casual inspection. So many manatee, and each scored by boat props,
hulls, and skegs. Lang.
Dark grey manatee hide, white blubber. Overwhelming. Check the topo
map. The canal is a small area: 25 manatee each bearing awesome wounds,
in an untreated human, mortal wounds.
One pool dozer had hot dog prop marks, from a tail-gator?, running up
the back and parallel to the manatee's
spine-chop,chop,chop,chop,chop,chop,chop,chop,-5 " long, 3" wide.
Relish?
Hardly.
It is odd to watch and speculate on the spectator's awarness of these
wounds. Do the spectators see the wounds? as wounds?
The cops came and threw me out:
"Watcha doin'?"
"Observing manatee."
"How long you been here"?
"I was here the past two Sundays."
Cop leers at me-(guilty guilty guilty) you know the look-"now we got
you ****head!" loitering!!
Cops say "ya gotta move your packs to the parking lot."
I came in on a bicycle-no trunk: 42 USC 83
So having ****lled the Park for one of the best winter manatee season
observation days, I was forced out though there were other options.

One option exercised was a swat team of off duty deputies standing
around my bicycle.
The research is publicly ridiculed by the Park's Rangers.
The activity is not unusual nor unexpected. I was illegally arrested by
a platoon of SIX police cars and ONE HELICOPTER while working on a
shuttle motor failure that occurred 3-4 seconds before ignition. I was
jogging. The cops said I was harvesting grass which they attempted to
plant in my car. This in the Ocala National Forest.

ICJ3 Birdy Predicts Quake, I began mentally listing India cities, the
mind readers followed by continuously chanting the cities names at 130
DB: Gujarat Gujarat Gujarat Gujarat Gujarat
So, when I arrive by cycle at M Gujarat anatee Park, a hailer set to
the south begins threatening me at 130 DB and another to the east
across Palm Beach Blvd. The mob sends prostitute families in to
threaten me while I try to observe.
Monkey poachers.
The animals are cool, the "people" not so good. When posting the
first ICJ, the "family" sent goons into the library to threaten me
with death if I published, Publi****ng "Birdy Predicts Quake" led to
a third library trespass notice. When I began visualizing details for
"finding bin laden" FPL sent a crew to drill holes and cut street
amacite with a chainsaw 100' distant from the VA site.
Selling outboards, children, narcotics and sup****ting afghan
agriculture doesn't leave room for
saving the manatee.
Meanwhile back in the field, I found manatee are responsive to blocks
of telepathic image. Manatee sensitivity to audibles, visuals and
telepathy are really beyond my expectation. Yesterday, after the
manatee had out thought and maneuvered me for over an hour, I stopped
to wonder why the animal is getting gored with this obvious sensitivity
to the environment around it.
A question to be answered.
The 'widely held' expectation, by foundations appealed to for
research funding, was that field study with the Boat Tail Grackle:

was limited to aerial observation and needed considerable tuning to

These immediate manatee results that go directly to shared symbol
identification and alarm research without a translation period or gross
problems under not sighting all the manatee's reactions to my inputs
are predicated by the animals sensitivity, intelligence, and the
efficacy of the projection method. Not the method's subject material.

The manatee rise to greet me when I call as Birdy flies in when I think
of him.
Then following interactions appear to be game playing by the manatee.
Anecdote: yesterday, the canal held 3-5 manatee as the weather was warm
and the outflow tepid, the warm sensation not carrying its call down
into the Caloosahatchee River without a high electric use temperature.
Two manatee dozed in the designed still zone beyond the hydrophone
pool. I decided to time the manatee rise for breath with a timex alarm
clock.
At ten minutes I reached down for the clock, and then sighted the
subject manatee coming across the pool's surface at speed, as the
alarm went peep peep peep peep, the manatee came near ramming the
hydrophone stand, swam a tight 180 turn and zoooom headed back across
the pool then dove.
The first and only in pool appearance by a manatee that afternoon.
How's that for sensitivity?
I commented on this to a volunteer ranger on the way back from the
men's room -the comment then negatively commented on by a blasting
"Family" speaker or the park's system, and mentioned that as with
Birdy, the behavior would only happen once, animals having other things
to do.
I returned to the levee and the manatee hunted me coming up from behind
unseen or expected and blowing air twice.
The manatee then surfaced at the peep peep peep peep peep peep twice.
So, I whistled an A above C peep peep peep peep peep peep and the
manatee swam a series of dives and surfaces with tourist friendly wave
action and fluke flipping. Very nice 10's all around. Did I frighten
the manatee or he playing?

Next week, I'll expand on first awareness for basic symbol
categories-motion, emotion, total environment, other animals present, a
category Birdy gets a kick from, often propelling him into physical and
vocal mimicry. Temperature. And before going on site, sorting out the
sounds a manatee would experience from an approaching boat. Dr.

destroyer heard from a submarine:

At each DRUMP the manatee playfully surfaced!!
Not the alarm signal. Or was it?
Well, the young gray hided manatee was underwater to start...now
there's a problem. and the manatee swam a series of dives and
surfaces with tourist friendly wave action and fluke flipping.
