On a different issue, if you know anyone in the Americas who has an
interest in Asian (especially S.E.Asian) Lepidoptera conservation,
you/they may be interested to learn that the 2nd Asian Lepidoptera
Conservation Symposium will be held in Penang, Malaysia from 24th
through 28th Nov 2008. The presentations are, so far as I am aware, all
by invitation, though I don't know if all the invited speakers have
accepted as yet (and if not, there may be a few slots available for
speakers at short notice). More details have been posted at
