Folks,
Sorry for the mega-crossposting, and I also know this subject
doesn't fit directly into the topics covered each of these listserves, but
I am curious about a butterfly I encountered on Oahu over the Christmas
break. I noticed in the Peterson Western Butterflies Field Guide that the
Large Orange Sulfur Butterfly (Phoebis agarithe) is *not* listed among the
butterflies for Hawaii, yet when I was there a couple of weeks ago it was
actually rather common. Anyone know what year it became established on
the
Hawaiian islands, particularly Oahu?
Thanks!
James
