pest

by Roger <vert20@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 1, 2008 at 05:16 PM

Something just got into my hives I have in the backyard. It looks
loke it chewed and scratched at the hive entrance, pulled out the
reducer and made an oval shaped hole where the entrance once. I
thought a mouse, a rat or a squarrel, however the debris wasn't small
chew shavings but large chunks some the size of a quarter.
Going out at night with a flashlight hasn't found the theif and with
the recent snowmelt here in central NY. I can't find any tracks. I did
set a rat trap, which was sprung the next morning but no animal. I
thought maybe a skunk but there was no sign or smell of one in the
area.
