How to Avoid using Bee Guards and Colony Collapse Disorder!

by The Flavored Coffee Guy <elgersmad@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 25, 2007 at 11:36 AM

Keep an empty box for every occupied hive.

Prepare the empty box, and use pheromones 'queen substance' to draw
the bees out of the occupied hive into the empty one and give that 4
hours. Use the smoker and go to the once occupied hive and remove the
queen and move her to the clean hive. Finally, use the smoker and
take out the honeycomb that is full. Make absolutely sure that the
hive with 'Bee Move Pheromone' in it is upwind and the hive you are
smoking out is down wind, so that the smoke will not fill the new
hive. Then the bees should just move from one hive filled with smoke
to the next upwind treated with the attractant.
