Senior/Weight Loss Dog Food Update

by "Tara O." <nospam@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 13, 2003 at 11:58 AM

A while back I posted looking for recommendations for a new food for
Pebbles
(9yo Min. Dachshund). Something that worked for weight control like
Prescription Diet R/D but was healthier and would hopefully allow me to
feed
her a larger ****tion and still maintain diet control.

One of the foods I was looking heavily at was Canidae Platinum Senior
Diet.
Pebbles has now been on it for a couple of months and while it hasn't
helped
take any more weight off of her, I've been able to feed her a slightly
larger ****tion without her gaining extra weight. What I've noticed though
(and this may be why I can feed her more) is that her energy level went
from
none to normal for a Min. Dachshund. She's now exercising more, laying
around less *and* doesn't seem to be having occasional joint pain.

The only thing that has changed over the last 2 months is the food so I'm
attributing the increased energy level, better mobility, and continued
weight management to the food. I also like the ingredients and Pebbles
(and
Fancy when she sneaks into it) love the taste.
