You doc would have a big problem with me. After the smack in the head,
he'd 
probably be unhappy with the result which would include a nasty contusion.

(his contusion, BTW). I reuse lancets (understatement of the year) and
have 
never had one problem. So why is it you feel you have to use a new lancet 
for every stick? Because your doctor told you so? Do you also pack
yourself 
full of carbs because the dietician "told you so"
