Like my grandad many years ago- it was Xmas and after the traditional
blow out my dad would drive me back to the flat (Mum and Dave didn't
get on too well so he had to stay at home) and grandad asked if he
could come along for the ride- see all his old haunts- my dad was born
5 minutes walk from where I live so off we went. In the end, we drove
all over Bow with grandad pointing out places where he used to work,
the old house etc. Finally we passed a pub called the "Pearly King"
and grandad said "Didn't that used to be called the "Seven Stars"? I
once got banned from there for fighting ...well I was totally p***ed
at the time"

And there's my dad going bright red and muttering "Shut up!"
