ROFLMAO.  LOVE it!

I can't remember exactly when I read about it, but I know it was in
Cat Fancy.  It was a little anecdote about cat-inspired moments of
deep humiliation.  The person who wrote it had a cat who rattled her
screen door in a very distinctive way when he wanted to come in. So
one day, she hears the noise out on her ****ch and without seeing the
cat, begins to talk to him in  the "Silly-boo-boo, lovey baby" way we
sometimes talk to our cats when we think we're alone with them and are
feeling silly and affectionate.  She concluded with  "Does my big  boy
wanna come in?"
"Well actually ma'am, I just need to read your gas meter..." comes the
very embarrassed human response. =3Do)
