Ouch!  I know from empty nest syndrome.  After Katrina my daughter's
family 
stayed with us for six months.  When they went home I had empty nest 
syndrome all over again!

I hear you.  Apartment living looks great when you're mowing the lawn in 
100F heat, or replacing a large appliance!

Yeah, I don't know how Phil does it.  Not just the work it takes, but the 
heartache he has to bear seeing the things he does.

Fostering is tough.  I can't praise foster moms enough.  To *know* you're 
going to lose those little ones to their forever homes, but *still* give 
your heart to them - well that takes a special kind of love and courage.
