Thanks, Lori.    I'm in a sort of limbo right now, daughter just moved out

and took Dustie (black kitty with the sweetest personality I've ever
known) 
with her, so we're not only "catless" right now, we're sans any kind of
pets 
AND/OR kids!   For the first time in our married life of 37 years, my 
husband and I are living alone together in this big ol' 4 bedroom house
:)) 
Actually, we have it up for sale (what a joke in this economy) and want to

move ASAP.   We also want to move to an apartment for a while (maybe even 
for good, we are so tired of being home-owners) and then do some
traveling, 
so I have no idea when we'll be in a position to share our home with 
animal(s) again.  Hubby would be quite happy if we didn't go that route 
again (or so he says anyway, he does seem to enjoy the animals when they
are 
with us tho).   I am really really missing the cat(s) though and when/if
the 
time comes I think I'd like to take a shot at fostering.   Which is why
I'm 
so grateful to all of you for all the things I'm learning just by lurking
in 
this group and over at rcph+b (Phil's amazing!  deserves sainthood in my 
opinion)

Volunteering at a shelter is something I'm considering too.  We'll see, 
gotta take it one day at a time right now tho.

ok enough babbling here -- and thanks for the chin skritches!  I always 
wondered how that would feel!   (feels great :))  )
