In my experience, budgies can be highly suspicious of "new" things, and
food in
particular. The only thing that seemed to work for my budgies was time and
patience.

Perhaps you could try sprinking a few bits of grated carrot on top of
their
food, that way they might at least try tasting it.

Apart from that, just keep offering it to them till they forget that it
hasn't
always been there.
