Hi,
I recently had a neighbour move out of the country and they left a
pair of peach faced love birds. They have a very nice place (i have a
large area which used to be a computer room closed off with great
sunlight and they're cage door is never closed.) The female laid an
egg 2 months ago and I found it on the floor after a weeks broken up.
Furthermore, since I got the two birds the female has been having
seizure like motions. And the male starts making noises as soon as
this happens. It pretty much looks like its about to die, its neck
starts rotating and it falls down on its back with legs up and flaps
like there is no tomorrow. Recently its wing started bleeding because
of all the flapping in the nest and hitting the walls. Fortunately, it
wasnt anything serious. Anyways this has been going on ever since I
got them (it just started doing it as im typing this)...and all I can
do is pick it up and hold it for a little bit until it calms down and
put it back in the nest. These birds are in a really bad situation,
the female has this problem and the male from what looks like has a
part of hist "ass" (excuse my language) cut off. It's about half the
size of a penny and it is patched with dry blood. But its getting
smaller and smaller. Anyways, if anyone can help me with this problem
I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
