LOL What is a great video? None of these! :::::Joking::::
What I saw was a horse who is clearly left-footed. He takes the left
rein too much and not the right enough. From the corners in Fran's
video you see the gnarl-gnarl jaw on the left side, he kinda nods his
head on the left leg hitting the ground and grabs your hand, or, you
are grabbing his mouth on each downward left foot fall.
Both of you need to wean yourselves off the left rein, and try to get
both reins in even contact. Not a death grip, but even for awhile. So
go back to your exercises of counter flexion. He HAS to accept the
right rein to stop leaning on his left shoulder. I'd still massage the
dear one to help his inner child, because he loves his left lead above
all else. The right canter comes along okay, but he drops himself in
the left, dives a bit to the shoulder. The other exercise is counter
canter for this particular problem. Very shallow one long side
serpentines would benefit you a great deal. Go around in correct left
lead and make an effort to go toward the center and come back to the
wall in the left lead.
The boy needs to balance longitudinally. All in all, you still have
to ride him, and he looks like a horse with crooked issues. Join the
Club, it's a large body of riders and horses, you are not alone. :)
