I don't think anybody will sue but I can't understand what the
objection is to going ahead and having a vet see this hrose if not the
worry of being in trouble somehow... And money of course but it's not
that much - it's not like the horse is colicing and needs expensive
treatment (yet!)

I was worried from the moment Caelen posted that it was a case of
management induced laminitis.  I agree with Sue - I never ever do
trial periods, ever.  Protects both parties from hard feelings and
maybe more.
