Thank you, Eileen, for understanding my concern. The horse's agent has
been out to inspect him. She handled him, noted the heat in his feet
etc and, as you say, basically couldn't have cared less. The owner was
presumably notified and would have my contact information, but no one
has contacted me. I cannot legally medicate or treat the horse. I am
not the registered owner of the horse. We are making him as
comfortable as possible by bedding on sand and cold hosing, but there
is nothing more we can do without the owner's permission.
