Which is why a vet should have seen him - in part, to help make that
determination, to be fair to all parties including the poor horse.
I had a mare on trial who quickly developed a big curb. My vet
determined it was an old injury that didn't like my hilly turnout and
probably would not hold up for my intended purpose. Horse returned,
vet bill mine, full refund on the mare.
Had my vet determined that it was a new injury, trial over, horse all
mine, bills all mine.
That's the norm.
