When was he trimmed? Within a day or two of going lame? I'm betting
feed-change induced laminitis. Sorry. See my post on that other
thread that I just posted - even if it's not the alfalfa and/or oats,
it can be that the grass hay is different at the barn he's at now.
Does your barn owner have the hay tested?
The horse needs a vet. Now. He is in danger of dying.

Caelan, I'm sorry, I do not mean to sound like a *****, but you cannot
give treats to a horse who has sore feet. Not one tiny little treat
or carrot circle - not one.
Nancy mentioned vet wrap frog sup****ts if you don't have styrofoam on
hand (your barn owner should.) Google or ask us if you don't know how
to do that; it's pretty simple, you just take a roll of vet wrap and
duct tape it to the bottom of the foot so that it's underneath the
frog and middle of the heel area. You want to be sure - well, here, I
found a site with pics of using foam. In the meantime while you run
out to get foam, slap a roll of vet wrap down there:
