Lameness (update)

Well it gets worse. The horse is hot in three feet and dead, dead
lame. He is ****fting weight from foot to foot in front and won't even
stomp flies off. My instructor picked up a foot to see what was going
on underneath and the horse almost went down. Heat and bounding pulse
in 3 legs. The BO put him in a sand paddock, but the poor horse is
dead lame even in that.

The horse broker came out and looked at him and is willing to take him
back. She's convinced it's a bad trim and he'll come sound. I wish it
were true, but my gut feeling is that this horse is a used up rope
horse that someone drugged and sent to an out of area broker. The
original owner is not local to us. I'm hoping to salvage some money
out of this at this point.

The one I feel sorry for is the horse. I stroked him and gave him some
treats. He really is a sweet boy.
