I hope you're still lurking around here...

My MIL needs to get high speed internet access(defined to be 
significantly greater than about 28kbps :( ).  She's too far for cable 
and DSL, which leaves satellite and cell.

IIRC, you went through the same problem -- what did you end up with for 
internet access, if you don't mind me asking. :)
