My horses are all wide backed with very well sprung ribs so they
needed the "hoop" tree. My first one is an Eloquence X with upswept
panels to better fit the shorter backs. I tried the hoop tree mono-
flap model, the Equinox II, but it is built for endurance riding and
the seat and thigh blocks are made for getting up out of the saddle
for climbing Cougar Rock, rather than sitting deep for dressage. I
loved the feel of the monoflap, but since the Eloquence X puts my seat
and leg in wonderful balance for dressage, I *just* ordered another
one (again with upswept panels and the flaps that fit my legs) for my
home horses. I DO trail ride, but not up terrain like is found on the
Tevis, so the Eloquence X will be just fine for my hacking out. ;-)

I am getting a contrast welting (BC is trying to get me navy blue
welting) so that the second saddle will look just a bit different than
the first one. I could perhaps have tried to have them build me a
Vinici on the hoop tree, but since the Eloquence X is so perfect for
my position, I did not want to risk messing with perfection!
