We're not all that far away, and we've had a *ton* of rain here...

Vet, vet, vet, banamine, styrofoam.

When Lucy was on the edge of laminitis after colic surgery, we used
vet wrap for heel sup****t.  Place entire roll of vet wrap under heel/
frog, with roll running in heel-to-toe direction; have horse step down
on it, lift foot and wrap/tape in place.  Good alternative for those
who don't have styrofoam handy (nearly everyone has vet wrap or
knockoff).
