I am 44 yrs old and had very bad cataracts. I woke up on July 26th
this year and my left eye was completely blurred. My cataract
literally went bad over night. Everyone says it's usually a gradual
processs, it wasn't with me. It was BAM, and I couldn't see anything
but a blur. Since I am diabetic I had to get my sugar levels under
control and keep them there before I had my first cataract surgery. I
had surgery last Tuesday. I think it's easier than getting your teeth
cleaned at the dentist. The worst part of it for me was getting the
IV . The lady almost had me passing out because she couldn't get a
vein. After that was over the rest was painless. I am scheduled for my
next one in three weeks. I am only waiting because it's more
convenient for my work schedule, otherwise I'd go next week. I can see
really good out of my eye now, but need readers to read. It's awkward
having a good eye and a cataract on the other. I have missed out on
seeing so much. Colors are brighter, people are different looking,
it's just great.
