Just got back from a brief trip to the Orlando area. Aside from the
usual suspects, --a bald eagle, herons, egrets, sandhill cranes, etc,
I saw my first Palm Warblers and Yellow-throated Warblers. The PW's
were in their 'confusing fall warbler' plumage with yellow rumps. They
were very active amid scrubby weeds that had taken over undeveloped
lots in a housing development. When I first spotted the YTW's, they
were creeping along the undersides of palm tree branches, much the way
Nuthatches or Black and White Warblers might do.
