Re: Lotsa hummers

I have handled a few that got caught in my house and cabin.  They were 
gentle little creatures and I was afraid they would hurt themselves they 
were so afraid of me.  But once in hand they relaxed, either resigning 
themselves to their fate or just holding still so they were less noticed. 
(I really don't have a clue as to what was going through their minds.)  A 
couple even paused when I opened my hands and seemed to look at me, then 
glance in a couple of directions before humming off.  I feel it a
priveledge 
to have helped them, and to get to touch them was neat.  I'll bet banding
is 
a lot of fun.  Especially when you catch one of those again, or one from 
another place and it helps give information.
