I just became aware of this, and it'll be bothering me.
A multi-color bird, which i thought was crippled at first, is guarding
approx 3 eggs, and was hyper-squeaking at me as I was picking up some
trash-paper that probably blew over there from my yard, when I
noticed her.
If sh'd kept quiet, I wouldn't have noticed.
It'a an unusually pretty bird--the colors are pheasant-like-- when it
spreads its wings which it does quite a bit.
She has a very tiny head for her size imho.
Besides the incredibly colorful wings, I see brown (mud or blood or?)
on her back
I know not what to do, and I'll probably just (try to) ignore nature.
There are several cats and dogs very nearby including mine, damnit.
Why this bird didn't do with her eggs what all other birds do is my
question.
There are no close trees, so the eggs didn't fall from a tree nest, or
seemingly any other nest.
The mama bird was disoriented obviously.
Is there an experienced bird rescuer near Winder-Statham, Georgia,
USA, that one may call?
There is a county animal shelter, and should I bother them with this--
I'll tell my wife to call 'em and she just now refuses telling me that
they don't do such.
