At the time, I would have taken her in if someone would have
accomodated us. I couldn't stand the thought of doing nothing but watch
her
suffer. If no one could do anything to save her anyway, mabe it's best
for Henri
that no one did respond, although it was disheartening.
Distance was a factor because anything over an hour's drive seemed
pointless as it was unlikely that she'd last that long.
I'm really surpirsed she hung in there as long as she did. She had the
will to live.
I appreciate your response, and the idea of contacting a bird club, if
there are any around here, is a good sugestion.

I've been around birds too, since I was a baby in the late 50's. I've
only been the primary care giver since we've had Henri.
I take it that you have had your share of hearaches as well.
