That's what my avian vet said too. It's ok under normal cir***stances
but if you were to say turn on a burner on a stove to it's highest
setting and accidentally leave the Teflon cookware on it, then you
might well have some problems. One poster here said she regularly
cooks with Teflon and has 7 budgies in a room right adjacent to the
stove and has never had a problem.
