You work in a pet shop and you took home an animal that wasn't weaned?

FWIW, mammals (and that includes mice) need their mothers for milk, hence
the names mammals and mammary glands, see the connection here?
Once they are old enough to feed themselves and their eyes have opened,
they
can be seperated from their mothers.
If the mouse is still alive, try and reintroduce it back into the nest
where
you took it from but don't be surprised if the mother eats it, also ask
around for a job more befitting your IQ, try a burger outlet.
