We have had a large group of mice as pets for some time now, actually,
this is the 3rd generation of them, we allowed breeding a few times of
our favorites, and we are now letting this litter get old and pass on.
We have grown quite attached to them, and as they pass on we are not
replacing their numbers, with new pets from the store.
But on several occasions, we have had to take them to the vet to be put
down, Tumors, on a few, and others that just got sick, with varried
problems.
We recently moved to a new city and lost a very kind and helpful vets,
that were kind enough to put them to sleep, and allow us to have them
back for little mouse funerals, in the back of our garden.
In our new city, we have asked at several of the local vets, and they
all said they would put them to sleep, but would not allow us to have
them back for our sentimental funerals.
Ive searched for ways to put them to sleep my self, IE order some
colorform, and give them a dose in a large glass jar with a small rag
soaked in it. so they would just goto sleep and never wake up. but was
unable to purchase any at the local drug/hardware store?
Any one got some humane ways in wich we might be able to put our little
furry creatures to sleep...
