Hi Rosie
You should google Cambridge Cavy Trust and phone them to see if there
is a specialist in your area. There is bound to be one within an hours
drive.They are a brilliant group and treat your animals free paying
only for medicines. There are so many UK vets who don't know how to
treat these animals. I also use Peter Gurney's books. They are like a
gold mine!! He unfortunatley died last year so we wont be getting any
more.
Lots of medicines that humans use can also be used in guinea pigs
(hence the term 'human guinea pig'). Cambridge will advise you. Hope
this helps
