The vet could not find anything wrong with his leg. An x-ray reveiled no
problems. So it seems he somehow must have strained something - perhaps
because he's a very playful guinea pig.
Anyway, he's on painkillers that also fight inflamation, and with good
results. It would be best if he would not use the leg for a while, but
how do you make a pigge take rest. Fortunately Malinka also seemed to
feel he should rest the leg. We made things easy for him, by presenting
his food right in front of him. There was no need for him to get up for
food :o)
His vist to the vet was last Tuesday, and today (Saturday) the limp is
almost gone. We're watching him closely, looking for any signs of
discomfort. Should that be the case then it's back to the vet at once
(as were her instructions).
