Sorry, i am not in Canada so cant help directly, however here (NZ) it is
perfectly possible to phone or go to a vet and say "i would my pig to have
a shot of ivermec" This can be done as many people are just as capable as
a
vet in recognising certain conditions. Perhaps in other cases a
responsible
vet would not treat an animal if it were obviously mis-diagnosed. If you
paid $600 for a "checkup" surely the vet industry is out of control
there.....maybe it's time for people to speak up against this rapacious
price gouging...and i believe the same may be said for the medical
profession in North America from what i have heard. Here in NZ a shot of
ivermec costs me $12
