Sad News About One of My Cam Piggies

I am not sure how many of you here have seen my guinea pigs on their
webcam, but I had to put Meeko to sleep yesterday because of tumors she
developed on her uterus and bladder back in January. A spay and tumor
surgery bought her some time. However, all of the tumors could not be
removed. Ultimately, the remaining tumors caused her much pain and
bleeding
while urinating. 

There was no chance for recovery, but I tried another round of baytril and
meloxicam just in case. I also tried some ****lintong with little effect. I
waited until she had more bad days then good days before I had her
euthanized. She was a sweet piggy and will be greatly missed. Meeko was
just over 4 years old. I am glad I gave her a good life and that her
suffering is over.
