Re: Chattering their teeth.

We have two male pigs and they started fighting about two months after
we got them.  Their teeth would chatter, and sometimes the big one,
Fudgems would jump at the little one, Petey.  Petey would do his
special side jump attack usually pulling out some of Fudgem's hair.
It wasn't a pretty sight.  .

We bought a larger cage a few days later and put a divider in the
middle to keep them separated.  On Christmas Eve last year (about
three months after having them, about 4 months old), we thought we
would put them back together.  They were doing really well in the play
pen we set up for them and thought it would be ok.  Well, Fudgems
attacked Petey and took a chuck out of his ear.  From that point on we
can not put them together for more than a few minutes or else they
will chatter their teeth and begin to fight.

I would recommend keeping them separate for now and try to put them
back together in a few weeks.  I asked the same question last year and
was told that if two males live together they will have a big pow wow,
and that should be it.  The one male will then be dominated.  This
never happened with our two boys, plus we didn't want to see either of
them get hurt any more.
