DS got a guinea pig for Christmas and it's been about ... oh ... 4 months
since then. And I can say, for ours atleast, that no, they won't --- if
anything, the poop has gotten bigger and more often. YMMV.

FWIW, he (the guinea pig, not my son, LOL!) only poops in one specific
area
of his cage. The little cutie is actually very clean (again, not my
son!!)!!
