Thank you for this. Yes I am more worried now. I have checked and re-
checked the hutch for gaps that a rat might squeeze into. I'm pretty
sure it is rat proof, but I'm still worried.

My three ladies live outdoors in a two story hutch. Last year we had a
problem in our gardens (neighbours more annoyed than me) with a rat. Not
once did it bother with the cage as it is sturdy and there were easier
pickings.
I'd never leave them in the run overnight, but safe and snug in their
hutch
they never come to harm at night.
