would like to know what is best,an inside the house hutch or an
outside one,and is there any thing I need to know about guinea pigs
that are not written in pet books.I want to know what im letting
myself in for before I buy.Do they stink?Do they bite? what cant they
eat etc.

whoa....where did this come from.

Housing generally depends on where you live.   inside is often good
during inclement weather.  Piggies don't like drafts or being really
cold.   I put my outside in the summer.  Know too, if they are outside
they won't be played with as often, and you will find it harder to get
to know as individuals.

They are easy to keep clean.  They tend not to bite though
occasionally one will be a nipper....it's just a matter of training
for the most part.  (and learning that they are prey animals and so
things swooping at them are causes for fear).  They only stink if you
don't clean them out properly enough.

They can eat most anything and are smarter than rabbits about what
they will and will not eat, but limit the amounts of food they get
from the cabbage family.
