Well, unfortunately i feel guinea pigs are not really into
interaction/exploring things. They are right at the very bottom of the
food
chain and i guess their motto would be "stay low and go"
They do like 'treats' however in my experience these always seem to be
thing i also like.....strawberries,fruit,etc
You should definitely offer them a place to hide,they need this,even if it
is just a cardboard box with a door cut in it inside their cage. The good
news is ,if you are handy with tools is you can make suitable things for
them.....how about an upstairs part to the cage...with a ramp going up..or
a covered tunnel that leads to somewhere you put 'treats' If you have just
got them (the pigs) they may be a bit shy and not very active for a
while...they need to learn to trust you..
