although there is a movement in the chinchilla community to have them 
relabeled.  there are articles that in fact sup****t a different genus 
for chinchillas.  they are "rodents" in the list because of  their teeth 
only.  and their incisors mainly since their teeth cannot be cut the way 
a vet cuts rat teeth.
