My guinea Darla who is about 2 seems to get a wet chin quite
frequently. I'm aware that this could be a sign of teeth problems or
wasting disease, but I really don't think that this is the problem.
Whenever she eats (especially things like tomatoes or peppers) she
gets it all down her chin and gets in a right mess, also whenever she
drinks, she always gets some around her mouth.
This isn't a problem, but noticed lately that there is a weird stale
smell around her mouth, almost like a wet dog smell. Do you think that
this is just where she has been a bit soggy under the chin?
She still has a great appetite (food is def being chewed and
swallowed) and doesn't appear to have lost any weight or energy.
Maybe I should try using the dry foam shampoo that I have for them
under her chin to see if that clears up the smell?
Thanks!
