Ferrets and Guinea Pigs

We have 1 ferret and 1 guinea pig (and several other pets but my question
concerns these 2) that I have kept apart so far.  Can ferrets and guinea
pigs get along?  I'm wondering if I could let them play together or if
they
would fight if they were in the same place for any period of time (like a
playpen).
