Subject: Do You Know What Kinesiology Is? May 28, 2008.

Here are some people who think they know what it
means.

........................................................
........................................................

Pilgrim, how you journey on the road you choose...in
your heart you wonder
  Which of these is true.
Will you find the answer in all you say and do?
Will you find the answer in the road that leads to
you?
  from Enya:
  A Day Without Rain
You are the answer within yourself. The Pilgrim's
journey within each one of us searches for the truth,
looks for answers, seeks to know how.
And in that quest for knowledge, the Pilgrim often
desires to be guided and assisted along the path of
life's challenges and successes.
We are all Pilgrims looking for ways to make our
journey through life easier and more accomplished, and
yet that exploration can often meet with unconscious
hindrances.
There are ways to unlock the knowing from within to
help release the blocks to our creation and
manifestation.
Asking for help from a friend, seeking assistance
from a professional, listening to s-iritual guidance,
having personal insights and intuition, can all be ways
to access answers that render results.
Dowsing and Kinesiology are also tools that can be
learned to guide our Pilgrim along the way. This
article will focus on Kinesiology.

               WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?
Kinesiology, often referred to as muscle testing, is
a technique which uses the movement of one particular
muscle from one position to another to indicate answers
from a person's own innate wisdom.
The word 'Kinesiology' comes from the Greek word
‘kinesis’ meaning motion, hence the study of muscles
and movement in relation to the structure of the body.
The medical science use of the term Kinesiology
refers to the study of muscle movement which enhances
strength or restores a muscle's condition after injury.
It is used in s****ts medicine, physical education and
physiotherapy.
The medical term is distinguished from the term
'Applied Kinesiology' used for accessing the body's
innate wisdom and subtle energy health.
Muscles are not tested for strength, but for quality
of subtle energetic muscle response.
This is the system that will be discussed in this
article.
Applied Kinesiology was the name given in 1964 by Dr.
George Goodheart, a Chiropractor, to a system of
applying muscle testing to access information from the
body's energy system for balancing the body's subtle
energy to enhance health.
While treating a patient for an atrophied muscle, he
discovered a link with the corresponding muscle on the
other side in a tense spasm.
When he treated the tense spasm in the opposite
muscle, the atrophied muscle became strong. This led
him to exploring the connections and correlations
pairing muscles had with each other as well as with
other muscle groups.
He found that treating overly strong muscles in the
spine would strengthen the weaker muscles in the spine,
thus creating a condition where the spinal adjustment
would stay in place, so that the patient would not need
repeated treatments.
Later, Dr. Goodheart and his colleagues began to
explore other connections with other body systems:
AN -- acerun: yes" the lymph system, the cerebral
spinal fluid system, and the meridian system.
Some time later, his colleague John Thie took their
knowledge and created a usable self help system,
Touch for Health, which formed another branch of
Kinesiology, Specialized Kinesiology. Today Applied
Kinesiology refers to what Chiropractors do, while
Specialized Kinesiology refers to what other
practitioners do, although many of the techniques are
the similar there are many variations and applications.
        CORRECTIONS OF IMBALANCES
Central to Kinesiology is the belief that all well
being comes from a state of inner balance and harmony
among and within the subtle energies of the body.
Subtle energy is synonymous with the energy referred
to as Qi, Chi, Prana and the universal life-force among
all living things connected to the high self or
sp-ritual self. The balanced flow of this energy is
vital for the maintenance of the health of the body,
mind and s-irit.
In Kinesiology there are two parts to the practice:
muscle testing and energy corrections.
With muscle testing, the flow of vital life force
energy is *****sed and specific information useful in
restoring energy flow is gathered.
The deficiencies and excesses of this vital force
energy are corrected in a number of ways:
therapeutically touching or tapping meridian points,
massaging the flow of the meridians, therapeutically
touching neurovascular or lymphatic points,
reprogramming muscles,
releasing emotional stress, and nutritional balancing.
The body has stored in each cell, all the way to each
DNA fiber, the knowledge of how best to create balance
and heal the body/mind /sp-rit.
Gently pressing on muscles and watching and feeling
the movement indicates an answer from the body's innate
wisdom and knowledge. Muscle testing requires
gentleness and a sensitive touch with awareness and
attunement from both tester and testee.
The gentler the test, the deeper the answer and
healing will take place. The stronger a muscle test
the more a tester's personal bias can show up, and the
testee's own defense system will block accurate answers
and healing.
Touch between one person and another is a powerful
bond that brings an intimacy reaching through the
defense systems, contacting a deep healing process
innate in everyone. Gentleness is vital to powerful
muscle testing.
Gentleness quiets the mind and sup****ts the
connection to Spirit which is the basis for profound
results.
Kinesiology is a method, a tool.
When practiced with precision, it becomes a powerful
way to talk to the unconscious intelligence and spirit
through the body.
Illness and symptoms don't just show up out of
nowhere. They are indicators of an ac***ulation of
built up emotional, physical, environmental, and
spiritual stresses which show up as symptoms or
diseases.
Kinesiology is a way to focus, to get h-aling results
going beyond the five senses.
  Kinesiology's further applications, whether accessing
information or correcting energy flow, can balance body
energy, integrate brain functioning, correct dyslexia,
de-fuse emotional anxiety, resolve deleterious habits,
addictions, ameliorate the effects of trauma, locate
and correct nutritional deficiencies and intolerances,
detect environmental toxicity, and access a relaxed
state of mind for inner calm.
A clear mind in a relaxed attuned state can bring
about profound results. Trusting the system of
Kinesiology is essential for finding accurate answers.
Let go and see where the system will take you.
A few years ago, I started having a symptomatic
reaction to my cat, Jazper, every time he sat in my
lap.
My eyes would itch, water and swell, then the
sneezing would start.
Was I developing an allergy to cats?
When my other cat, Cleo, sat in my lap, I did not
react in any way.
So what was up with Jazper?
I found myself avoiding him; less petting and no
sitting in my lap.
In response, he became very demanding of my
attention, and I could sense his disappointment.
I decided to find out what was going on with him.
A friend of mine, knowledgeable in Kinesiology,
started exploring this issue with me.

I once went over to see Sierra Dan on the streets of
Jamestown, Calif. He worked on my feet and finally
did some testing of my strength in my hands by having
me squeeze his wrist with my hand. He said it gave him
of about a reading of 6 or a possible 10. He worked
on me some more and finally gave me a reading of 8. He
said only 2 people in all of his life had gotten that
high of a reading. He also did some work to make it so
I could turn my head around further. This made me so
happy that I went home and attempted to prove this to
my friend.
I did something very stupid. I squeezed down on her
wrist with such an amount of energy that she said, "Oh
you hurt me. That will cause a black mark to come on my
wrist. You shouldn't have done that." I was very
sorry for doing this.
Now on the the last part of this material.

........................................................
........................................................

At first she worked on me, but then she discovered
she would get better answers if she worked on Jazper
with me as a surrogate for him.
In a sense, I held in my body's energy Jazper's
innate energy.
As she worked on me, she asked many different
questions, yielding some very unusual results. Jazper
had a reaction to his food causing allergens and toxins
to be emitted in his dander.
He also had an emotional connection.
He was grieving for the loss of my daughter, who had
moved away some months before -- he had been very
connected to her warmth and attention. This caused him
to react to foods.
We did meridian balancing and emotional de-fusions
and muscle tested for food compatibility.
After a few months of addressing the grieving with
more energy corrections, and instituting a modified
diet, I can now have Jaz sit in my lap without
problems. By allowing ourselves to be patient and
trusting where the system would take us, we were able
to get answers, which led us to a solution.
             THE PILGRIM’S JOURNEY
The Pilgrim’s Journey is the S-ul’s Journey.
It is a passage often met with challenges,
difficulties, bumps, and turns along the way. The tools
to help that Journey become clear, open, on track, and
creative are found in the trust with S-irit.
The language of the body, Kinesiology, can be one of
the tools that help focus the Journey and resonate with
Spi-it.
Awareness, trust, consciousness, and exploration can
create a direction with solutions.
The Pilgrim’s Journey can have joy, fun, fulfillment,
and surprise.
Within the self, within the heart, the Pilgrim will
find the direction to the choices the Pilgrim makes.
Stamina, courage, positive outcomes, reduced anxiety,
and freedom from ailments is what the Pilgim wants.
Kinesiology bridges the gap between not knowing and
knowing the way.
Rely upon Spir-t, seek answers, trust the system, be
gentle with yourself and let go!
And your inner Pilgrim will Journey with singing,
crying, laughing, h-aling and connecting from heart to
heart with amazement and wonder.
