Rocky's owner seems to be the only one here, and he and i are done. if
there is anyone else who actually reads this newsgroup here's a followup
on my dog Buddy. I found out there's a vet here who gives disabled
people on fixed incomes (like me) better prices and lets us make
payments if we have to.
i've learned my dog's problem is just an inflamed ****e, probably because
i feed him in a plastic dish with a lip on it and don't wash the dish
often enough. i've learned that even though my dog licks all kinds of
filthy things it's im****tant to keep his bowl clean and to have one that
doesn't have this ridge that can cause food to be rubbed into the spot
below his lip where he can't lick it clean.
i was hoping to find a more experienced dog owner who could have told me
this and saved me a lot of money i can't afford to spend. i know it must
be hard sometimes for people to relate to those of us who have to make
decisions like "buy my blood pressure medicine or take the dog to the
vet?" but lots of people have to make those decisions every day. some of
us even have to decide whether it's the cat or us that gets the cat food
today. things are not that bad for me but it is for lots of us.
anyway, if anybody but this guy is reading this, just wanted to fill you
in in case you encounter a similar problem.
