: It could be stress - we find cats over groom when stressed. Are any
: cats perhaps coming into your house while you are not there? Have you
: moved anything around in the house? Got a new animal or edition to the
: family? Your cat could benefit from having a feliway plugged in
: (Natural pheromones help with calming them) & a microchip Catflap
: http://www.bestcatflaps.co.uk
if you are having other cats coming in?
No to all those, I'm afraid. Might try a Feliway though.
: Try also applying frontline incase she has flea allergic dermatitis
: and yuur house may benefit from a spray with a good household flea
: spray (such as indorex or acclaim)
I actually use Stronghold, which is similar but also treats ear mites and
roundworm. She has it regularly once a month and I've never seen fleas on
her. Might try the household spray though.
: Another possibility is a hormonal change, although rare in cats or an
: allergy which are on the increase all the time.
I'm beginning to lean towards the allergy theory, although to what is
still a mystery to me and the vet.
Thanks,
Ivor
